Director Roland Emmerich just won’t give our poor planet a break. Seriously, I bring him up in every “What’s More Threatening Than Global Warming?” conversation. Bet on Emmerich, you’ll always win that debate. The brand-new INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE trailer continues to cook up the ingredients of the first INDEPENDENCE DAY, viciously mixed in with Michael Bay’s TRANSFORMERS and blatantly given a hint of spice by that all-to-familiar brand: I Can’t Believe This Sequel Got BIGGER and Yet It’s Not BETTER.
In all, I understand that some movies were made to be seen on the big screen. They come in all sizes. Emmerich sees fit that his films come in the largest formats possible. Outdoing himself each time in destroying Earth. So, if you simply just want to have fun watching the Earth burn, eat handfuls of popcorn and not care why Brent Spiner has been resurrected, or is it resurged? Or that you like the visual eye-candy of the cast, the spaceships and of course the big booms. Whatever it may be, I’m sure you and the crowds that follow will have your entertainment cravings fulfilled with this current installment of INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE.
SYNOPSIS:
