TO STAR TREK AND BEYOND

As STAR WARS fanboys eagerly await the return of their beloved franchise by the hands of J.J. Abrams, Paramount has released the first trailer to the fanboy film on the other side of the universe. In STAR TREK BEYOND, Captain Kirk and his enterprise crew are back, and they’re bringing FAST AND FURIOUS 3-6 director Justin Lin along for the ride in what looks to be another great escapade filled with thrills and excitement. With the exception of a few new faces, the whole STAR TREK gang is back and ready for action.
THE FORCE AWAKENS is just a few days away and we can expect to see this trailer attached. I wonder if it’ll be STAR WARS fans vs. STAR TREK fans, or if there will be much commotion at all. I really don’t look at it as a rivalry, myself. Just like Abrams, I love them both. I will say that I didn’t get into STAR TREK until I was a bit older but I have grown to love the shows and films.
In the end, I think this film looks fun and high energy. It’s not as classic feeling as the original STAR TREK films but with this new generation and lively franchise atmosphere it’s what’s for dinner, and I’m pretty confident I’ll be going back for seconds.
Paramount Pictures and Bad Robot will release STAR TREK BEYOND on July 22nd 2016! Just in time for the 50th anniversary of Gene Roddenberry’s iconic series.
