AARON AND CATE HAVE SOME SPLAINING TO DO!

Wow! This has “intriguing” written all over it! “The Wrap” is reporting that THE SOCIAL NETWORK scribe Aaron Sorkin and Academy Award winning BLUE JASMINE star Cate Blanchett might team up for a bio pic on legendary comedian Lucille Ball.
Word has it that Lucie Arnaz and Desi Arnaz Jr. will produce the project and that the film will focus on their legendary parents’ 20 year marriage. No doubt, there will be plenty of insight into the making of “I Love Lucy” as well.
Sorkin is one of the strongest writers in the business and everything Blanchett touches turns to gold (with the possible exception of INDIANA JONES AND THE CRYSTAL SKULL) so if this thing really goes before cameras, I suspect we’re in for a powerful motion picture experience.
If you were to compile a list of the greatest shows in the history of television, it would be tough to justifiably leave “I Love Lucy” off of that list. Lucille Ball is one of the most influential (and iconic) t.v. personalities of all time and the very idea of Blanchett jumping into her shoes for a feature length film has me positively giddy.
