SING STREET Movie Trailer

“ONCE” YOU WATCH THIS “SING STREET” TRAILER, YOU’RE BOUND TO FALL IN LOVE WITH IT JUST LIKE I DID!

Article By Adam Mast

I adore director, John Carney. His 2007 film, ONCE ,  just so happened to be my favorite movie of that particular year.  That thrifty little musical was so  simple, so sweet, and so utterly earnest,  that it managed to charm itself into the hearts of independent film fans everywhere. ONCE even went on to earn a much-deserved Best Song Oscar for endearing stars Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova and their heartfelt tune, “Falling Slowly.”

Carney’s latest effort is SING STREET, an 80’s-set coming of age story about a boy from Dublin who forms a band and heads off to London in hopes of hitting it big.

With a set-up that might remind one of the early origins of the iconic rock band, U2, SING STREET looks to be an affectionate, smile-inducing musical complemented  by the ultimate 80’s playlist.

As fate would have it, we’re going to have an opportunity to see this flick at Sundance next weekend and it is our hope that the final product will be every bit as entertaining as this gem of a trailer makes it look. We’ll certainly let you know.

SING STREET is scheduled to open in the U.K. on March 18th with a U.S. release to follow.
