THE ONE, THE ONLY, ROGUE ONE!

Here it is! Why this wasn’t dropped with THE JUNGLE BOOK, CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR or during next week’s CinemaCon conference in Las Vegas is anybody’s guess, but complaining about getting this thing earlier rather than later seems stupid. The point is, it’s HERE! And it’s pretty damn great!
It should be noted that while Disney and Lucasfilm are passing this off as a teaser trailer, it actually offers up a substantial amount of footage. Star Felicity Jones look badass as do Donnie Yen, Ben Mendelsohn and Forest Whitaker.
And boy oh boy does this thing look action packed! More importantly though, this clip is filled with enough iconic STAR WARS imagery to leave fans frothing at the mouth! We’re talking Star Destroyers, Imperial Walkers, and a little weapon of mass destruction called the Death Star! Yep! For a mere 2 minute tease, this trailer packs quite the punch.
ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY was directed by Gareth Edwards (GODZILLA). The screenplay was written by Chris Weitz (ABOUT A BOY, CINDERELLA) from a story by John Knoll and Gary Whitta (THE BOOK OF ELI). This highly anticipated STAR WARS spinoff movie will follow a ragtag team of resistance fighters as they attempt to steal the plans for the original Death Star.
ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY blasts into theaters on December 16th, 2016.
