Michael Dougherty’s outstanding horror anthology, TRICK R TREAT, did for Halloween what A CHRISTMAS STORY did for the holidays.
Well, clearly Dougherty loves himself a good yule tide flick as well because with his latest effort, KRAMPUS, he’s decided to put a mythological horror spin on our most popular season. That Christmasy vibe is on full display. Snowy backdrops, Christmas trees, decorations, family bickering, warm and fuzzies, etc. Only here, it’s all punctuated by a touch of comedy and a healthy dose of something unspeakably evil.
If this righteously badass KRAMPUS trailer is any indication, we may now have a new Christmas classic on our hands.
KRAMPUS, starring Toni Collette and Adam Scott, opens on December 4th, and quite frankly, I can’t wait to see it!
