For Harry Potter fans it is the most anticipated film of 2016 and thanks to the newest trailer just released, many are itching to grab their wands from storage. David Yates, who directed several of the Harry Potter films, including the final two, is back to direct this Harry Potter spin-off/prequel. Set in America, where “muggles” are now known as “non-maj” or non-magical, we will follow the story of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) seventy years before Harry Potter reads his book in school. Tale has it that there is a magically expanded briefcase which contains many ferocious beasts who eventually are released, thus setting into motion a sequence of events that adds to the building friction between the magical and non-medical worlds. With the likes of Colin Farrell, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman, and Katherine Waterston, FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM looks to be a very interesting and hopefully magical addition to the Harry Potter franchise.

As a Harry Potter fan myself, I must say that I am quite looking forward to a new addition to the beloved story of the Wizarding world. Check out the new trailer and have your wands at the ready because Yates is at it again. Let’s hope this new film FANTASTIC BEASTS is the big explosion of entertainment and excitement that it promises to be and let’s hope that it’s well… fantastic! Bombarda Maxima!

SYNOPSIS:

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds”.

RELEASE DATE:

FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM will find its way into theaters in 3D and IMAX on November 18th, 2016!
