At San Diego Comic-Con this past July, the newest member of the Marvel family joined the ranks. Brie Larson was officially cast as Captain Marvel. I couldn’t be happier with this choice. Not only does she look the part, but she’s funny and has an impressive resume to back it all up (see ROOM, SHORT TERM 12, and 21 JUMP STREET.)
I’ve heard a few other names thrown around, but let’s be honest… This is Marvel for goodness sake! Even if you don’t trust my opinion… Trust them! They have yet to get a casting decision for a major actor/actress wrong!! This is honestly why I can put my trust in Marvel. I haven’t once been disappointed in one of their casting decisions. Brie Larson is no different in my mind.
I fully expect to see her in one of the INFINITY WAR movies and I hope the role is somewhat similar to Black Panther’s in CIVIL WAR. Not a huge role, but a pivotal one that shows off her character traits and abilities.
