BOBBY Z. IS BACK WITH A NEW LIVE ACTION MOVIE!

For a while there, it was looking like Robert Zemeckis was done making live action movies. For the better part of a decade, it was all about mo-cap animation efforts like THE POLAR EXPRESS, BEOWULF, and A CHRISTMAS CAROL.
Of course, Zemeckis did return to live action filmmaking. Now, he follows 2012’s addiction drama, FLIGHT, and 2015’s whimsical Philippe Petit tribute, THE WALK, with the World War II-set romance, ALLIED.
At a glance, this movie looks surprisingly intimate given its epic setting and there are moments in this trailer when it appears that perhaps Brad Pitt is a bit out of his element. On the other hand, Pitt is a solid actor and he was terrific in both INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS and FURY, so I might be off base with my petty assumptions here.
Whatever the case may be, Pitt has the supremely talented Marion Cotillard as his co-star, screenwriter Steven Knight (LOCKE) providing the written word, and the gifted, technically astute storyteller behind BACK TO THE FUTURE and WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT calling the shots, so I’m willing to give ALIIED the benefit of the doubt.

SYNOPSIS:
