MEET THE CREW

Simply put, Cinemast.net was designed as a means to spread the love of film. We’re located in Saint George, UT, but don’t let the southern Utah home base fool you. While we’re not out of L.A., New York, or a massive metropolitan area, we still love what we do unconditionally. Curating the best in film and generating cinematic buzz is of the utmost importance to us. In short, we love movies! We can’t get enough of them!

Here at Cinemast.net, we’ll do our best to live up to the standard set by the fanboy sites we’re so greatly inspired by (Aint-it-cool-news.com, Collider.com, Birthmoviesdeath.com, Firstshowing.net, Hitfix.com, Comingsoon.com, /Film.com, Dark Horizons.com, thehollywoodnews.com, just to name a precious few), but we’ll do so with our own spin. Check back daily for the latest in movie news, movie reviews, and film event coverage (i.e. Sundance, Comic-Con, CinemaCon, etc.) Feel free to post in our comment threads and let us know what you think. Happy movie going everyone!!

ADAM MAST

—CO-FOUNDER, EDITOR IN CHIEF

Adam Mast has been a lifelong film enthusiast dating back to age 6 when his parents took him to see a little movie called JAWS at a drive-in theater in Northern California. Mast has been writing film reviews for Southern Utah’s arts and leisure newspaper, The Independent, since 1996. Additionally, he has worked on multiple film projects of various shapes and sizes. He would also co-found the late (and great) entertainment site, Zboneman.com with legendary humorist, Kevin Jones. He would eventually co-host an online movie review program with fellow entertainment writer, Bruce Bennett before joining forces with colleague John Pugh in 2014, to create Cinemast.net as a means discuss film from a fan and analytical perspective. Together, Mast and Pugh would also create the 501 (C)(3) nonprofit, Film and Media Alliance of Southern Utah (FMASU) in 2017. FMASU’s mission is to encourage, inspire and educate filmmaking talent and to preserve film history as well as the theatrical experience by way of a handful of film-centric events and programs including the Desertscape International Film Festival, The Electric Film Series, The Guerilla Filmmaking Challenge, HorrorFest International Film Festival, A Merry Movie Christmas Local Cause Awareness Event, and more. Adam currently resides in southern Utah with his amazing wife, Tonja, and their four wonderful children.

JOHN PUGH

—CO-FOUNDER, MANAGING EDITOR

John Pugh has an insatiable appetite for all things film and it goes back as far as he can remember. He and Mast have been friends for years and it was Pugh who suggested a partnership with the end goal of bringing Cinemast.net to fruition. In addition to his day-to-day duties as Cinemast content developer and writer, Pugh is also a filmmaker with several award winning short films to his credit. Like Mast, Pugh can’t imagine a world without film and he wants to share that love and passion with cinephiles the world over. Pugh currently lives in northern Utah with his wife Briana and their three wonderful children.
