2015 STANLEY FILM FESTIVAL COVERAGE: OUR VIDEO INTERVIEW WITH “RE-ANIMATOR” DIRECTOR STUART GORDON

ENJOY OUR CHAT WITH THE GREAT STUART GORDON

Article by Adam Mast

It’s hard to believe that “Re-Animator” is 30 years old. It’s true though. This cult classic has thrilled horror fans for the better part of three decades. Stuart Gordon, the sweet natured, well versed film-maker behind this brilliant 80’s splatterfest, was kind enough to sit down and have an insightful conversation with us about his career. Included; His appreciation for being the recipient of the 2015 “Master of Horror” award, his working with fellow film-making titans like David Mamet, his primary “special effect” in movies, and his overview of film and film-making in general.

For probably the first time in his life, our very own Jeff Sanders was awestruck while our resident horror junkie Cragun Clayburn was virtually speechless. It’s not every day that you get to have an intimate sit down with someone of Stuart Gordon’s stature.

Special thanks to “The Stanley Film Festival” and to the great Mr. Gordon for making this conversation possible. Enjoy.
